Employment Coach - The Woodlands, TX
Job Summary: The Employment Coach supervises the client's job development program within the Policies and Procedures of VOA-TX and the sponsoring agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned
* Assists clients in identifying personal interests and life goals
* Reviews Clients' resumes, cover letters and provides feedback
* Monitors the improvements of clients and offers coaching when necessary
* Develops and maintains potential employment opportunities
* Conducts "Lunch and Learn" sessions to educate clients who are searching for the right career path
* Submits accurate program reports in a timely manner
* Assists clients with job search skills, making contact with prospective employers and completing job applications
* Attends job development/hiring events to engage with employers
* Attends all network meetings with LISC and THRIVE
* Works with occupational training vendors to ensure continuous quality improvements
* Plans and executes a minimum of two hiring events annually

This position does not have direct organizational supervisory responsibilities.

* Skill in the use of a personal computer and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.)
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records

* Ability to speak effectively before groups of consumers or employees of organizations
* Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
* Ability to work independently with little supervision
* Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment,  and to react with discretion under varying conditions

* Ability to interact with staff members and community contacts

* Flexibility of scheduling work hours to meet the needs of the program

* Upholds organizational values

* Bachelor's Degree in a human services field plus two years transferable case management experience
