Function:
The Financial Coach will provide both Financial Education and Financial Coaching to help low and moderate income clients set and achieve financial goals to reach financial stability and self sufficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains client files according to VOA and grant guidelines.
  • Conducts financial classes weekly and provides one-on-one financial coaching.
  • Works with clients to manage their budget.
  • Works with clients to reduce or eliminate debt.
  • Works with clients to increase client savings.
  • Assists clients in improving their credit scores.
  • Assists clients to obtain and manage assets through appropriate financial products.
  • Attends all United Way THRIVE meetings and phone conferences.
  • Completes data entry tasks and provide outcome reports.
  • Ensures management of the program’s resources within budget.
  • Within the scope of responsibility, adheres to budget guidelines, including expenditures, billing for services, P-Card documentation, etc.
 
Qualification Requirements:

Other  Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University plus three years  experience in applicable social and/or financial services.   Masters degree is highly preferred
  • A Texas Drivers License is required and the ability to be insured.
